14k Elgin Art Deco Wristwatch

A women's artdeco coffin cased wristwatch by Elgin Watch Company cased in solid 14 carat white gold, the watch has the original gross grain cotton strap complete with a 14k white gold decorative clip fastening, the casing is engraved around the sides featuring a fine millegrain etched border.

The dial is very well preserved and the numerals are stamped in an exploding fashion. This was typical of the 1920s era when imagination was said to be "at its finest." The crown is also white gold.

The wristwatch has been cleaned and oiled and after many years is running well on a 15 jewel movement.

The wristwatch has been tested as such and is stamped inside the casing.
A superb find in excellent condition, the watch would be a valuable collectors item, it comes with its original presentation box.
